Due to the complexities of arranging delivery of furniture, we have decided to opt for selling our items on our Facebook Page, as it makes pre-sales communications much easier, via their messaging service, although of course we also welcome contact by phone, email or WhatsApp. (See our "Contact Us" page).

Ercol Furniture For Sale

Generally, items are first listed for sale on our Facebook Page, either as a "For Sale" post or "Coming Soon."  If an item is requiring restoration, we often post information on the processes we are using, including images before, during and after restoration, which our followers seem to like; it also gives an insight into the history of the furniture, which is often of great interest to buyers.   You can find use on Facebook by following the link below.

Enquiries & Orders

As detailed above, we post almost all items for sale on our Facebook Page, however some popular Ercol products are in such high demand, they sell within minutes of being listed.  We have lists of people waiting for specific items, such as Pebble Tables, certain Dining Furniture and Sideboards; whilst we do endeavour to let them know when an item is coming into stock, we still operate a strictly "first come, first serve" policy.  We may, under certain circumstances, offer someone first refusal, but in fairness to everyone, this is always time limited and we can't hold items indefinitely.  We do our best to respond to messages within a few minutes and recommend customers keep an eye on their notifications, so communications are as seamless as possible.  Please note, sales are not finalised until payment has been received (see below).

Delivery

We offer nationwide delivery to most UK mainland addresses.  Whilst we do local deliveries ourselves, for deliveries further afield we use a specialist courier service, with whom we have built up an excellent working relationship.  Delivery to most BH post codes is free of charge, but to quote for deliveries outside this area we will need a full post code.  Although we may be able to give an estimate for delivery, we will always need to obtain a fixed quote from our courier, before it can be confirmed.  Whilst we make all arrangements direct with the courier, including payment, they finalise delivery details including dates and times, direct with the customer. 

Whilst we are happy to work with alternative couriers, these deliveries will need to be arranged by the customer.

Furniture delivery is obviously more involved than small parcel deliveries.  Our courier usually picks up from us twice a month, so depending upon their loads and schedules, delivery is typically within two weeks.  Please note, couriers are normally single handed and therefore the driver is likely to require help to unload.  Quotes are for ground floor deliveries, so additional charges may be made for deliveries involving stairs or lifts.  It is very important that customers make it clear, if it is not a ground floor delivery and/or help will not be available.

Payment

Payment is due in full on placement of the order.  If delivery has been arranged by ourselves, payment will include the cost of delivery.  If the customer has arranged their own delivery, then they will be responsible for making payment for delivery direct with their chosen courier.

Our preferred method of payment is by online Bank Transfer, but we will accept payment via Credit/Debit Card or of course, if the customer is collecting in person, they can pay by cash on collection.
